Mathews Company
M-C began operations in 1954 with the production of hay and forage flail choppers, and in 1957, they introduced the first continuous flow grain dryers. Mathews Company is known for building durable, high-quality equipment that provides years of trouble-free service.
Founder B.C. “Matt” Mathews had a passion for locomotive trains, leading him to purchase an "Iron Horse" steam locomotive, which still stands beside the Mathews Company headquarters in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Matt admired the quality, strength, and reliability of these old locomotives and believed that everything his company produced should reflect these attributes. This old engine and rail car serve as a constant reminder to employees to build "Iron Horse Quality" into all M-C equipment.
